If you decide to invest with Vanguard, the process is simple and straightforward on their website at Vanguard.com.
You will be asked about which type of account you want to open, your personal information, your income and net worth, employment status, and the sources of the funds you that will be deposited with Vanguard.
This is all normal and part of the know your customer (KYC) process required by law.
Be sure to also have the routing and account numbers of the account you will use as the source of funds for your new investment account with Vanguard.
Vanguard will then go through a micro-transaction process to verify your bank account. In this micro-transaction process, Vanguard will make two small deposits into your bank account and ou will then verify these amounts inside of your account.
Once this process is complete you will have to wait another 7-10 business days before you can move funds around inside your Vanguard account.

I believe in Vanguard’s products and pricing so much that I opened an individual account for general investing with Vanguard!
Overall, the sign-up process and bank verification process has been easy.
I’m just beginning to poke around the member’s area and looking at the different investment options.
